I have tryed looking the problem up because of her disability & the medicare site seems to contradict its self with no straight simple answers .
So, my question is would she qualify for cataract surgery & glasses ?
If so, what on-line site would i need to look at for instructions ?

And at night I do see the circles around lights. I want to put off the surgery as long as I can as I am going through something devastating Ijust had a major house fire and am living in a hotel until things get settled. I just do not want any more pain or trauma right now..Is it safe to wait? Did you have these same kind of symptoms? If you did have the surgery, how did it go and how do you see now? Medicare will be picking up this bill, does that mean they do it the cheapest way out? Thanks for all your help,

He can barely see from cataracts, and he is scheduled for surgery in June. He also has astigmatism, but they said they would have to charge him for that as well

Heres the kicker. Medicare only covers “so much” My parents have to put out almost $4000 for him just to be able to see.. (not including what they want to charge for the astigmatism)

Is there ANYWHERE that anyone knows of that takes care of seniors that need surgery? Im in california.. and I want to be able to save them the money..

I would hate for her to lose one eye because of the cataract and its really expensive to do the surgery without an insurance. i would like to know if Medicaid would pay for her cataract removal surgery.
My mom has medicaid and they told her once that medicaid does cover the costs to operate and have the doggie fixed for no more puppies but im not sure if they can do cataract surgery.
